Today at the State Fair we had a slightly lower turnout, so I had a chance to learn about how we keep our great system running.

Melissa Fahning was here today to represent FAN, the Friends Action Network. FAN is an opportunity for students, faculty, alumni and community members to join together in a common effort to keep state tuition rates low.

The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system does an incredible job at keeping tuition low, and at the same time, it provides excellent standards for each of its 32 institutions. To maintain the same level of quality and integrity, it is essential that the Minnesota Legislature continues to fund it. The FAN program provides members with information about how to let their respective district representatives know that education is important to them.
